Carrie Rogers joined the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) in May 2007 bringing more than 25 years of marketing experience in both the public and private sectors and more than 13 years in the management and administration of municipal government operations.

Prior to joining LAEDC, Ms. Rogers served as the Manager of Marketing and Economic Development for the City of Santa Clarita where she was responsible for six programs including economic development, redevelopment, film, tourism, housing and the federal Community Development Block Grant program.  She developed and implemented the City’s annual economic development strategic plans, developed their first comprehensive marketing plan, for leading the City’s successful application for a State of California Enterprise Zone.

Ms. Rogers also led the development of the City’s interactive GIS Economic Development Layer, and developed the City’s first “Red Team” as well as their first quarterly economic development newsletter.  She played a key role in establishing Santa Clarita as one of the LAEDC’s first five finalists for the “Most Business-Friendly City in Los Angeles County” Award.

Ms. Rogers also spent more than ten years with the City of Palmdale rising to Economic Development Project Manager.  While in Palmdale, Carrie managed the City’s Foreign Trade Zone and Enterprise Zone, developed the City’s marketing plans and materials, and assisted in the development of their Economic Development Department Strategic Plan.

Ms. Rogers is a member of the California Association of Local Economic Development, International Economic Development Council, Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance, Santa Clarita Valley Economic Alliance, Westside Economic Collaborative, South Bay Economic Partnership, Gateway Cities Partnership, Inc., San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership, and the Economic Alliance of San Fernando Valley.

Ms. Rogers holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Northridge and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Cal State Fullerton.
